HDD Viscosifiers

HDD Viscosifiers help maintain the stability and fluidity of drilling mud, which helps reduce the risk of borehole instability, fluid loss, and damage to the drilling equipment. The use of effective viscosifying products can enhance the efficiency and safety of HDD operations.

CEBOGEL® OCMA

CEBOGEL® OCMA is a sodium-activated Bentonite, defined as our most concentrated Bentonite drilling product (up to 8%).

Under pumping conditions, CEBOGEL OCMA is subject to shear thinning and becomes easily flowable; when motionless, the fluid thickens into a gel-like structure, allowing for effective suspension and carrying of large cuttings.

CEBOGEL OCMA is a versatile drilling Bentonite, ideal for large-diameter, long distance HDD operations due to its high gel-strength and stable viscosity. CEBOGEL OCMA can be recycled and reused efficiently.

 

 

Cebo Hybrid-Gel

Cebo Hybrid-Gel is a high-yield biodegradable fluid system, based on natural, non-toxic polymers, and is defined as our staple environmentally friendly drilling product. It has a relatively low mixing ratio and is ideal for all small-scale Core Drilling operations. 
 
Cebo Hybrid-Gel is extremely versatile; it can be used as a single-sack solution to build viscosity and improve fluid loss, or alternatively used in addition to a polymer-based drilling fluid to stabilize and enhance existing properties. 
 
Cebo Hybrid-Gel is an efficient clay and shale inhibitor and promotes effective solids suspension and transportation. Cebo Hybrid-Gel can be mixed in fresh, brackish, or saturated salt water.

Cebo Wyoming API

Cebo Wyoming API composes high quality, natural Sodium Bentonite from Wyoming (U.S.A). The product is used in Vertical Drilling operations and is characterized by its low Yield Point/Plastic Viscosity ratio.

TUNNEL-GEL® PLUS

TUNNEL-GEL® PLUS is a high-yield Bentonite, defined by its increased polymer volume, and is used predominantly as a viscosifier. TUNNEL-GEL PLUS promotes rapid viscosity development and subsequent high gel strength, allowing for effective suspension and transportation of drilled solids. 

 

TUNNEL-GEL PLUS is ideal for conventional drilling operations, enhancing filtration control and maintaining borehole stability throughout. 

TUNNEL-GEL® MAX

TUNNEL-GEL® MAX is a Bentonite-based viscosifier, defined by its higher mixing ratio, and is ideally used in larger-diameter HDD operations.

The product’s higher mixing ratio allows for increased Bentonite content per volume and creates subsequent high gel strength in a drilling fluid. As a result, TUNNEL-GEL MAX effectively suspends and transports drilled solids – regardless of lower annular velocity. 

TUNNEL-GEL® SW

TUNNEL-GEL® SW is a Bentonite-based drilling fluid additive, uniquely designed to viscosify brackish or saline make-up water.

Fluid systems designed with TUNNEL-GEL SW assist in providing essential borehole stability and filtration control.

The product enhances fluid carrying capacity, ensuring that drilled solids suspend and transport efficiently.
