TERRA’s pipe renewal range is designed to replace ageing gas, water and sewer lines without open-cut trenching, using powerful bursting systems that crack/cut the existing pipe and pull a new product pipe back through the same route—ideal for busy streets and tight access. Their TERRA-HYDROCRACK rod-bursting units are built for renewing mains (roughly OD 50–350 mm) across tough host materials (including cast iron, steel and ductile iron), with high pull forces around 600 kN / 60 tonnes to drive efficient replacements over typical runs up to about 150 m. For service lines and smaller diameter work, the TERRA-EXTRACTOR cable bursters offer a compact, fast alternative—models like the X 400 are rated for substantial pull forces (around 40 tonnes) and are intended for replacing mains in the ~40–300 mm range, again with runs up to around 150 m, often with remote operation to keep crews out of the excavation during pullback.
They are strong, powerful and fast. The TERRA-EXTRACTOR work in a pit, manhole or in a cellar. The possibilities to use the TERRA cable bursters are enormous.
Ideal for your pipe renewal
Due to it's high thrust and pullback forces it cracks or cuts PE pipes, steel pipes, cast irons pipes or even ductile cast iron pipes.
