Pit launched HDD machines are compact directional drilling systems designed to operate from an excavated launch pit, making them ideal for restricted access sites, urban works and short-to-medium underground installations. They provide many of the benefits of conventional horizontal directional drilling while reducing the amount of surface disruption required, allowing pipes, ducts and utility lines to be installed beneath roads, pathways, driveways and existing infrastructure with greater control and minimal excavation.
